There has been a noticeable increase in Direct Cremations (you may have heard of Pure Cremations) and although these can be a more cost effective way they don’t allow family and friends ‘closure’ or a meaningful ceremony.
We at Ripples can easily help with this – and can still offer a personalised service / tribute at a location of your choice, offering as much “fuss” as you or those that you have loss want. I will help with the whole planning of the funeral and the ceremony. Whether it is talking to the family to make the tribute personal, to helping arrange music, catering, multi media presentations etc, I can help. We have great contacts with local businesses for catering – from high teas to hog roasts to barbecues.
Pretty much anything. There are certain time restrictions if having at a crematorium, but aside from that, the service can be what YOU want it to be.
Having done this job for over 30 years, I can guarantee you that I have seen it all – and trust me when I say you aren’t alone. It is obviously a traumatic time and can bring up lots of family issues – but we can help diffuse these and help navigate to calmer waters.
These days, finances can be tight and for this reason some people turn towards a direct cremation (this is where no one attend the cremation). If this option is right for you we can still give your loved ones a great send off with them present, their ashes or simply a memorial service. This can be cheaper but still so special.
A service where we celebrate the life of someone, without them being there, often wish ashes present.
